Flamefur yawned and bounded towards the fresh wind. It diminished many scents and he soon felt it beneath his paws. Was he flying? No! He felt cold water seep through his body as tough waves pulled him underwater. His head bobbed in and out of deep water. His eyes burned as the salty water drained into them and he felt large bursts of liquid fill his throat. Icy paws seemed to grab at him as he felt everything darken. It was as if stained glass had been placed in front of him. He couldn't see anything but blurs and colors. What would happen to him. As he opened his mouth to yowl, more cold water seeped into his throat and he felt a wave suck him under once more...

Midnightstar lunged into the icy water going straight under. forcing open her eyes she saw Flamefur slowly going farther down. Beating her paws against the waved she swam forward her muscles gleaming from the reflection of the sun. Taking a strong leap throgh the water she grasped Flamefur's scruff and started to pull them back to shore. A few times she lost her steady rythum of strokes through the water but she held firm Soaking wet and panting she hualled herself and flamefur to the shore. Gently, Midnightstar laid down the drenched tom flopping down beside him, panting. After a few moments she pulled herself shakily to her paws. She began licking Flamefur vigorously for he seemed to be shaking violantly, either from the cold or shock.

Flamefur choked and coughed, sputtering water everywhere. "What were you doing in RiverClan?" he rasped through the gushing whater. " Thanks."

"I was on my way to see if you were going to ever come to ThunderClan! Its been seven moons you know!! And you have kits that have already become apprenticed, and you haven't come to see them, or even me!" Anger began to pulse through her from head to tail. Her heart slowly began to beat normal once more and she continued more calmly, "StarClan sent me a vision, that something was wrong. No matter how ong it's been i still love you. I can't let anything happen."
