My Story that I made up:
Prologue
A thundering of hooves sounded along the horizon. Suddenly, it stopped. A horse had stopped by a shallow pond, looking at its reflection. A second horse neighed behind the first. The first horse turned around, shaking its glossy mane. The first horse was a deep cherry bay with a long silken black mane. The second horse was a palomino who’s mane, instead of being almost white, was a shade of peach with brown streaks. “Cheers, wait!” the second horse called. Cheers snorted. “What do you think I’m doing, Apricot? Waiting for the pond to disappear?” The palomino known as Apricot looked back at her bulging belly. “Our foal is due anytime.” She nickered. Cheers swelled with pride at the thought of his mate and her foal. “Sweet Apricot,” he neighed, leaning in towards his mate. Suddenly a splash sounded from the pond. Cheers, an interpreter of signs, took the signal immediately and began to watch the pond. Strange shapes began to swirl and more bubbles appeared. A confused Apricot snorted uneasily. “What is it, Cheers?” Cheers closed his eyes and recited what the pond told him. “Kin of a lifetime will make the herd shine.” Apricot shook her head. “What is that supposed to mean? The herd is related to the sun? That doesn’t make sense!” Cheers nodded. “Yes, it does. Our foal! He or she will be a hero. Save the herd.”
