Midnightstar led her clan across the WindClan border toward the island with the strong scent or other clan sworming around her as they neared the fallen log. Cats from different clans crossed the log carefully not to slip into the unwelcoming black water. When it was her turn, Midnightstar leaped onto the slippery pine, unsheathing her claws to climb across the tree as she wove among the branches of the log. When she reached the other side she leaped off, glad to be off the floating log that threatened to dislodge any second. Bounding over to the breeze filled clearing, Midnightstar clawed her way up into one of the higher branches of the massive oak in the center of the clearing, waiting for the gathering to begin.

'Ahh. A gathering' Lunapaw thought as he leaped on to the island. ' I wonder if theres anything new...'

Even though RiverClan didn't have far to go for the Gathering, Hawkstar was the second Clan to arrive at the tree bridge. The scents of ThunderClan cats drifted over her. Hawkstar gathered her powerful haunches underneath her and leaped onto the tree bridge. Steadily, she walked across it. She had been to many Gatherings before becoming leader and had grown accustomed to the bridge. As soon as her Clan had made it across the tree bridge, Hawkstar yowled to signal her Clanmates to go down to visit ThunderClan. Hawkstar pulled herself gracefully into the giant oak to sit next to Midnightstar. "Hi! What's new, Midnightstar? I mean, not what you're going to say at the Gathering, of course!"

"Well, not much other than that ThunderClan has gotten a new apprentice, Lunapaw. He is a great help to the clan." Midnightstar replied to Hawkstar.

Crowstar padded with some of his warriors, apprentices, queens, and elders to the island. Thunderclan and Riverclan seemed to here already and Windclan was the third to come. The white-striped black tom went to the tree branch and waited for Shadowclan to come. While doing so, he watched warriors from the three clans talk to each other. The Windclan leader mewed to Midnightstar and Hawkstar, "Hi Midnightstar. Hi Hawkstar. How's everything going?"

"We are great, thank you for asking. Are prey is running swiftly and herbs are starting to grow for our medice cats. We have also gotten a new apprentice Lunapaw and he is a great help in the clan." Midnightstar replied.

"We better start the gathering, I'll start. Is that alright with you?" Midnightstar asked as her yowl rang out across the clearing silencing the watching cats below. "Cats of all clans, the gathering has begun!"

Lunapaw was in the midst of converstation when Midnightstar yowled. He swiftly turned and pricked his ears. Eager to hear the news.

Hawkstar's ears pricked. Her sensitive ears had heard that yowl many times. "Of course we can start now. Would you like to go first, Midnightstar?"

Midnightstar stepped forward to signal the clans that she ould go first. "ThunderClan is well and are prey is running excedingly well and we have also gotten a new apprentice Lunapaw." As she finished the cats chanted the new apprentices name and she joined in herself. "Lunapaw! Lunapaw!" As the chanting died down she stepped back and flicked her tail toward Hawkstar to tell her to go next.

Hawkstar flicked her tail to show her appreciation to Midnightstar. She dipped her head as she stepped to the front of the Highrock.
"We are very happy in RiverClan. All is well, and the prey is plentiful. Only one thing, though. I must speak to Cloudstar when the moon is not full. If you please, Cloudstar," Hawkstar thrashed her tail to show that she meant that it was not shadowClan's job to cross the border.
"Anyway, we have found lots of fish and are warriors are strong. No ideas, any of you." Hawkstar glanced at the other leaders and her gaze traveled to the clearing below. Her proud hazel gaze cast over the Clans. But then it softened. "We are pleased to hear good reports from other Clans also." Hawkstar finished, gesturing Crowstar with a tail flick. Hawkstar stepped back, taking her place next to Midnightstar.
