Ravenfeather sat on the lowest branch of Sky Oak, waiting for Stormpaw to come. He had something important to tell her. "Stormpaw!" he yowled, listening to hear her reply. Soon she came in to view.

(stormpaw character) Stormpaw clawed her way up the tree trunk, sitting on a branch across from Ravenfeather. Her eyes glimmered in the moonlight, the stars reflecting in her eyes. She tilted her head eagerly, indicating that he could go on.

"Will you be my mate?" he stuttered. His paws shook on the branch as he turned to look at the pretty apprentice. His eyes gleamed. "Please?" he meowed.

Lunafire was looking around under the Sky Oak. He could'nt find Stormpaw anywhere and he thought it was time for some nighttime battle training. Looking up he saw Stormpaw sitting nuzzling Ravenfeather. Taking a big breath Lunafire yowled " Stormpaw! Are ready for your final training session?"

(Stormpaw character) Stormpaw blushed looking down at her mentor. "Uh, sure!" She meowed scrambling down the Sky Oak. She glanced back at Ravenfeather, flicking her tail toward camp. indicating she'd meet him there. She turned around happily. She was so glad Ravenfeather was her mate! And she was becoming a warrior! She padded after Lunafire into the dark.

Ravenfeather turned and padded back towards the camp. It felt weird having an apprentice as a mate, but he was glad that he had taken Midnightstar's advice. She would love to here what had happened that night! He leaped towards the leader's den.

" Why do we have to train tonight?" Stormpaw meowed " The moons as big as a sliver, I can barely see in front off me!" " Thats why I wanted to train now!" Lunafire meowed back " My mother told me of a battle where she could barely see at all so she had to rely on her sense of smell and her hearing. I want you to practice battling me in the dark" before he knew it Lunafire heard Stormpaws sheathed swipe whistle through the air. They kept this up for awhile and Stormpaw kept missing " Rely on stealth and precision!" After a few more trys Stormpaw finally landed a hit on her mentors flank. " Good work! Keep going!" After awhile Lunafire and Stormpaw lay on the forest floor recovering from the tiring exercise. " Ready to go back?" Lunafire mewed "Y-Yeah" Stormpaw mewed back.

(stormpaw character) Stormpaw hauled herself to her paws, the sky starting o turn indigo. Pain like badgers teeth shot through her as she moved forward exaustedly. "That was the hardest I think I've ever trained in my life!" She meowed as they entered camp. "I am glad you were my mentor Lunafire. I will always remember what you have taught me. Thank you," she meowed touching muzzles with the tom gratefully. She knew it was time to become a warrior now, so she wouldn't train with him anymore. Suddenly her mothers call rang out across the clearing, the familiar summons gathering the cats. She bounded up to the highledge standing proudly by her mother.
