I hope this doesn't ruin your dream, but before ANYONE publishes a book, they have to have an agent, no doubt about it. I was thinking of publishing a book, but when I found out you needed an agent (they cost money), I wasn't so sure I wanted to do it.

My dad got his book published without an agent. He told me that he sent it to a friend of his's friend's friend's company (*laughing out loud!*). His book is about the Civil War its called Civil War Cinema.

*laughing out loud!* well one thing I know for sure is that any big companies like HarperCollins or Young Readers you HAVE to have an agent *laughing out loud!*. i looked it up *laughing out loud!*.
