Clan Ranks
1. Leaders: They are the heart of the clan. They're responsible for deciding Clan policy and strategy, calling clan meetings, and appointing warrior, mentor, and apprentice ceremonies, as well as deputy. When a deputy becomes the leader, he/she must travel with the company of a medicine cat to the Moonpool to receive his/her nine lives from Starclan. After being granted eight extra lives, the leader gets his/her "star" name and they return home.
(Note that leaders must be on at least three times a week.)
2. Deputies: They are the second-in-command of their clans. Their jobs are to organize patrols and hunting parties. Deputies succeed leaders, when they lose all their nine lives from battles, age, or sickness. If the deputy dies, the leader must appoint a new deputy before moonhigh (midnight).
(Note that deputies must be on at least two-three times a week.)
3. Medicine Cats: They are trained specificially in the ways of healing and they recieve signs from Starclan and must interpret them. They stand outside the rivalries between clans and are not allowed to have mates and kits. When they get apprentices, they must teach them how to find herbs and how to use them to heal.
(Note that Medicine cats must be on at least one-two times a week)
4. Warriors: They are combat-trained cats who hunt and fight for the clan. They can only have one apprentice and must teach him/her their ways; although they can supervise the training of other apprentices whose mentors are absent.
5. Apprentices: When kits become 6 moons (months) old, they begin their training as a warrior or medicine cat and recieve their 'paw' name. They train daily to practice their fighting moves and hunting skills. They also must take care of the elders. When their mentors or leader feels they are ready, then the apprentices become warriors.
6. Queens: She-cats who have kits or are pregnant with kits. They stay in the nursery until their kits become apprentices and then they return to their warrior duties.
7. Elders: Retired Warriors, deputies, or medicine cats, who have become too old to hunt or fight and are cared for by apprentices and warriors. They are the most respected cats by the clan and they keep clan history alive by passing down the old stories to those who want to listen. If you want to be an elder, pm your leader and he/she'll perform the elder ceremony for you.
