Midnightstar padded into the clearing with Gingerfeather at her size. They're fur brushed and she inwined his tail with his. She was so glad to have a mate again.

Bramblestorm held his head high as he leaped on to the tree branch. "Hello, Midnightstar. Who is this?" he motioned to the warrior.

Gingerfeather cleared his throat. "Actually, I'm her mate. have you got a problem with that?" the tom snapped, standing beside the branch on the ground where Midnightstar stood.

Midnightstar smiled and stood proudly beside her mate.
"As a matter afact he is my mate." She stepped closer to Gingerfeather.

Flamefur glared in shock at both Midnightstar and Gingerfeather. How had she gotten over him so quickly? And now he was stuck without a mate due to Wildpath! Flamefur sprinted out of the clearing and sat by the lake to be alone.

Hawkstar narrowed her eyes. She saw Flamefur sprinting away. Her heart went out to him, until she remembered the warning. "Can't trust him," she muttered quietly. Her entire body screamed that it wasn't Flamefur, and Hawkstar tried to make herself believe that, but who else could it be? She sighed and turned to Midnightstar and Bramblestorm. "Hi, you guys. How are you two doing today?"

Flamefur didn't hear Hawkstar's groan as he sat by the water. He soon got bored and leaped in for a swim.
