Snowfire bounded through the wet marshlands with Sunsetpaw at his side. He skidded to a stop as he scented a water vole nearby. "Ssh!" he warned as he dropped in to a hunting crouch.
As soon as the vole was in sight, the white warrior pounced and killed it. He buried it in the wet grass to hide it until they went back.

"Good catch! Better than I can do." Sunsetpaw said to Snowfire. She went by the river, and waited for a fish. She spotted one, but was a little too late. She frowned.

"Good try! Just work on timing and you'll do great. You need to listen and sniff for when the fish will jump. Just as the fish breaks the water, reach out to claw it." he meowed helpfully.

"Ok!" Sunsetpaw replied, then turned back to the river. This time, she quickly caught a fish. She smiled happily.

"Way to go!" he congratulated. Snowfire watched as a huge fish moved through the water and just as it leaped he hit it on to the bank.

Sunsetpaw's mouth gaped open. That was a huge fish! "Wow!" She said to the warrior. "I think that fish would have pulled me in!"

Snowfire laughed. "Naw, it's light for its size. How about we share it when we get back? We can break the news to Redstripe." he meowed.
