Snowfire sat at the edge of the halfbridge. He hated Redstripe. Why didn't she trust him? She was hiding something. The white tom had seen through her fake smile and her mouse-dung lies.

Sunsetpaw padded up after Snowfire, settling down next to him. She sighed. "That's the first time I heard my mother lie." She said after a moment of silence. "And I don't know why she's lying."

Redstripe, invisible thanks to a secret power only she and Sunhawk knew about, was sitting at the far end of Halfbridge. She was feeling a bit quesy, and didn't know what to do.

[Flamefur]

"I wish she would just be honest! Why doesn't she trust me?" he meowed sadly.

"I don't know," Sunsetpaw replied, tired. "She must be scared, or something..."

Redstripe, invisible, suddenly let out a terrified gasp as sudden pain ripped through her. She fell to the ground, unconcious, and she was no longer invisible.

[Flamefur]

Snowfire wheeled around to see Redstripe lying unconcious on the ground behind him. At first, he was furious and filled with rage, but then saw that she was hurt.

Sunsetpaw whirled around and saw her mother unconcious on the ground. How she had gotten that close without her seeing her, she had no clue. She rushed over to her mother. "Redstripe? Redstripe!"

Redstripe moaned and said things while she was unconcious. "Snowfire; Darkstripe; Fear, danger; no!" Then she started to scream and the whole time shout either Snowfire or Darkstripe.

[Flamefur]

"Darkstripe?" Snowfire stared. "What's anything have to do with Darkstripe? He's been dead for moons, hasn't he? I never even knew him!"

Sunsetpaw stared at her mother, wondering what was wrong with her.

Redstripe finally woke up, but she woke up screaming. "Darkstripe is Snowfire's father!" Then she fell to the ground, finally rid of her guiltiness, but now extremely exhausted.

[Flamefur]

Snowfire gaped ahead. He stared blankly. His father was.... Darkstripe! But he had hated that cat for moons! Snowfire turned and sprinted away. He ran down the half bridge and leaped in to the water, swimming as fast as he could. He needed to get away for a while. Diving under, he swam as fast as he could.

"Snowfire!" Sunsetpaw cried out. She didn't go after him though; she was surprised enough at what her mother had said.

Redstripe slowly got up, shaking. She saw that Snowfire had swam off. She sighed silently and tiredly. She had been afraid of how he would react if he ever found out.

[Flamefur]

Snowfire was too far away to hear his mate. He hated his father. He was mad at Redstripe.

Sunsetpaw stared after Snowfire. "Please come back." She whispered quietly, and she started to cry. She was worried sick for him.

Redstripe stared after the young warrior. She sighed. Sometimes, the truth hurts.

Snowfire soon had swam across the lake. He heard faint sobs and thought about going back, but he needed some time alone.

Sunsetpaw and Redstripe both heard cries of terror coming from camp. Sunsetpaw knew though that she wouldn't have enough strength to fight, so she sat on halfbridge, crying.

Redstripe raced back to camp, hearing terrified cries.
