"This is a more advanced move, and its called the badger attack. If you ever meet a badger in battle; lets hope you don't- this is the move you need to master and use." Midnightstar suddenly leapt forward, clearing a jump with her long black legs. Twisting in mid air she landed behind Brindlepaw, nipping her heels, careful not to break the skin. She butted her from behind, making the apprentice twirl around in surprise. "Its very hard to master, but if we try a couple times I'm sure you'll both be great at it. I'd like you two to practice on each other since your more of the same size. I'll watch from the side and hand out pointers." Stepping back she watched as the two apprentices began to circle each other. "Remember, leap over them and twist in mid air, and land facing their rear, and nip your opponents heals," she instructed.

( brindlepaw and cedarpaw characters) Brindlepaw looked at Midnightstar then asked," But wouldnt it make more sense for yu to be the badger. Since they are bigger then us arent they?" Cedarpaw was to impatiecent to wait for his new mentors reply. He leapt up in the air and twisted around until he was facing Brindlepaw from the behind. He nipped her on both of her legs a little to hard that she yelped and then meowed," Hey! Cedarpaw that hurt," then trusting her self forward she batted him on the ear.

"That's true Brindlepaw\, and what I was going to do next, good thinking," she praised. "Be gentler Cedarpaw!" She cautioned. "Magnificent leap though!" She sat patiently, smiling and flicking her tail to and fro continueously. She awaited Brindlepaw's leap, and once that was over she would let them tr with her. Only one more battle training and an assesment, and then they would become warriors. She had already picked out their names.

Brindlepaw and Cedarpawlooked at each other when Midnightstar praised them. Then Brindlepaw turned around and looked at her brother and when she leapt she turned just as Midnightstar had done. When she landed she carefully nipped her brothers legs in turn. When she finished she looked at Midnightstar expectantly.

"Wonderful job, Brindlepaw! I noticed you were a little wobbly on your twist though, so lets try it again, but this time with me." She crouched, hissing, pretending to be a badger. She let out a bark with glittering white fangs showing, trying to intimidate to apprentice, for that's what it would be like in a real fight against a badger. She leapt forward, prepared for the appretnices leap toward her.

Brindlepaw and Cedarpaw looked at each other. Then agreeing Brindlepaw leapt over top of Midnighstarand turned better then she did before. When she landed she quickly and gently bit her on the legs before crawling under them. When Brindlepaw was crawling through Midnightstar's legs, Cedarpaw qickly did his jump and turned in the air but made a mistake and landed heavily on the ground with a grunt.

Midnightstar laid onto the earth very lightly, just pressuring the apprentice underneath her a bit, to let her feel the weight-but she of course made sure not to crush her. "When your underneath the badger, make sure your quick on your paws so they don't crush you!" She purred with amusement and stood up. "Cedarpaw, try again-try to land lightly on your paws so you can scurry if you need to," she instructed, stepping over Brindlepaw and facing the toroiseshell tom.

Brindlepaw gave a bit of a grunt when Midnightstar put some of her weight on top of the apprentice. When Midnightstar lifted herself off of Brindlepaw, Brindlepaw darted away and over to her brother who was hauling himself out of the dirt. "You Ok Cedarpaw?" When Cedarpaw nodded Brindlepaw turned to Midnightstar again. Cedarpaw and Brindlepaw made up a plan and when they both turned to Midnightstar they nodded to say they were ready to continue.

Midnightstar gave a small flick of her black tail to indicate she understood, and she gave a barkish wail and bared her white fangs, prepared.

Brindlepaw looked at Cedarpaw and when he gave the sign, Brindlepaw leapt up in the air, twisted and landed behind Midnightstar. Then she lightly bit her legs and quickly and swiftly ran under Midnightstar before she could fall on the apprentice. When Brindlepaw was through Cedarpaw leapt up into the air and being more accurate landed onto Midnighstars back and pinned her down.

Midnightstar pretended to fall, and she let herself lay onto the earth. But she surprised the apprentice and rolled, nearly squishing him underneath herself. She gave a mrrow as she leapt to her paws and shook her pelt vigorously. "Wonderful job, you two! Of course, a you wouldn't be able to push down a badger, but that would be great for a cat battle!" She stopped and smiled at her two apprentices. "I have a surprise for you this Sunhigh." Her eyes sparkled and she turned around to pad back to camp, glancing back with the edges of her eyes.
