Midnightstar hurled herself into the battle as cats charged into battle from their dens and from patrol. Midnightstar landed on top of a large rat about half the size of she, killing it with her claws as she dug them into the gray fur of the rat. It let out a squeal that was cut off as it went limp. Suddenly a rat landed square on her shoulders almost sending her off balance but just in time she gathered herself and flung it off sending it smashing against the stone walls with a satisfing thud. As Midnightstar gazed around she saw one of her clanmates covered in rats. She flung herself through the air baring her teeth in the throat of a rat. It went limp beneath her paws with a small squeal. As she looked around she thought to herself, how will we ever defeat them?
