Leafdapple stared blankly at her herbs. Which one was dock, again? And which one was borage?
The confused white she-cat padded towards the Moonpool and out of camp. Maybe StarClan could help.
Leafdapple touched her nose to the cool water and felt herself open in to a dream. She saw Hawkstar, Redstar, and Dawnstar. Bramblestar was there, too.
"What do you seek?" meowed Redstar. The light red tabby stood and touched her tail to the medicine cat's shoulder.
The white medicine cat hesitated before replying. "Something has been bothering me. I got over Applepaw, but I still feel hollow and empty."
Redstar looked at Bramblestar over her shoulder. "Let me get Hawkstar to help you. I'll go ask her. Sorry, Leafdapple, but Hawkstar helped her daughter Wonderstep become a medicine cat. I have no clue what to do."
The dead RiverClan leader padded to Hawkstar. "Hawkstar, Leafdapple is here and she is having medicine cat problems. Could you help her?"
Leafdapple sat and wrapped her tail around her paws.
