[Spottedheart]

Rainkit looked after her mother then pounced on her sister and brother playfully before seeing Stormflowers tail. She leapt at it and clung to it.

[Midnightstar]

Mapleclaw began digging a small hole just out of the camp boundaries at the edge of camp.

Snowpaw bounded over, helping her uncle.

Midnightstar padded toward the nearly finished ditch, bowing her head as the kit was soon placed in.
"May StarClan take care of you well, giving you happyness."

Darkpaw gently padded the dirt over top of the limp body, touching his muzzle to the grave once it was finished.

Leaning forward, Midnightstar, Sparklepaw, Mapleclaw, Snowpaw, Flounderpaw, Wolfpaw and Tigerpaw touched their muzzles to the dirt over laying the dead kit.

Ivykit pushed her way through the croud, her eyes shining as she watched the cats. Copying them, she gently touched her nose to the grave. Some grains of dirt tickled her nose and she sneezed, backing up.

Russetkit, being adventerous and mischeivious, ignored the little funeral and leaped right on to it in the center of all the cats. "What's going on? I smell death!"

[Spottedheart]

Spottedhearts ear flattened but then the kit didn't know much she explained," One of my kits is dead." Then gently moving Midnightstars kit she too touched the dirt were her kit lay, unmoving. "Have fun and take care my little one," she mewed then she stepped back.

Rainkit slipped through the nursery when Stormflower was watching Scarletkit and followed her mother. She pushed her nose into Spottedhearts fur when she saw the dead kit being layed in the dirt. "What are they doing?"

Laughing gently Spottedheart mewed to her kit," They are burrying her because she's dead." The kits eyes widened and she darted over to the dirt and touched it with her nose. Some dirt was covering her nose when she went over to Spottedheart.

"Where's Rainkit?" Scarletkit mewed, noticing she was missing.

[Flamefur]

Russetkit looked at the body sadly. "Well, I'm going to make sure that it's remembered!" she meowed loudly. The ginger she cat left for a second and came back with a long stick. She gently took the paw of the dead kit in her teeth and scraped the tiny claws along the wood. Soon, the long stick was engraved with claw markings. Russetkit stuck the stick clawed side up in the soil beside the dead kit. She felt sad that her littermate had died. They could have became friends one day. The russet colored kit looked over at the cats standing over the hole.

"Thank you Russetkit," Spottedheart meowed to the little kit.

Dandypaw padded forward and was about to ask what was wrong when he saw the little body and Spottedheart. "I'm so sorry for your loss Spottedheart," he mewed.

Rainkit glared at him before annoucing to everyone to attack him because he was a ShadowClan warrior. "Attack!," she cried.

Scarletkit came skidding out of the nursery as she heard Rainkits yowl and she came and jumped on top of Dandypaw also. "Come on Russetkit!" she encouragened

[Flamefur]

Russetkit turned around at the yowls and saw the handsome tom Dandypaw standing proud and chuckling as several kits leaped at him. She padded up to him. "Hey, Dandypaw!" She looked behind her and at his eyes, noticing his gaze seem to peer at her work. "What?" the russet colored kit gulped. Would he like it?

[Spottedheart]

He chuckled. He saw the scatches that Russetkit and made the dead kit make on the stick. Then seeing the way how she was looking at him he meowed,"Nice job Russetkit. That was good thinking."

[Flamefur]

"Thanks!" Russetkit leaped up on her back paws proudly. She admired this brave apprentice. "I've seen you train." she admitted, thinking back to the evening before when she had proudly watched him fight in secret. "You're going to be a great warrior!"

[Spottedheart]

Dandypaw blushed then meowed," Thanks Russetkit. You'll make a good warrior to one day."

"Russetkit likes Dandypaw!" yowled Scarleykit and Rainkit together. "Russetkit and Dandypaw!"

Dandypaw shook his head then laughed.

[Flamefur]

Russetkit glared at her littermates and the fur around her cheeks turned bright scarlet. "Hey!" As soon as they had stopped though she had gotten in to deep conversation with her new friend. "What's it like being an apprentice?"

[Spottedheart]

"Russetkit and Dandypaw!" The sisters yowled again and the clan-mates all had looks of amusement in they're eyes.

"Well you get to do battle training. Go hunting. And go on patrols. Clean the elders den and the nursery. Give prey to queens and elders and all that sort of fun stuff," he made a face. " You also get to go to gatherings and meet other cats."

[Flamefur]

Russetkit glared at the other kits again and blushed. She looked back at Dandypaw. "Cool! I wish I was an apprentice!"

[Spottedheart]

"It'll be fun to see you as an apprentice Russetkit." He blushed when Spottedhearts kits yowled they're names again.

[Flamefur]

Russetkit couldn't stand it anymore. She turned and leaped at Scarletkit, tiny claws unsheated and teeth bared. The ginger kit landed squarely on her littermate's shoulders and sunk her claws in to her pelt. She felt slightly cool blood drip down Scarletkit's bath and sunk her teeth in to her tail. Russetkit leaped off lightly and saw blood dripping from Scarletkit's wound. "That'll teach you to mess with me, Scarletkit!" she snarled.
