Leafcloud sat at the edge of the lakes rippling water, the night stars glowing from above. Her sleek fur was ruffled in the slight breeze, the wind seeming to whisper. What? She asked frustratedly to herself. Something seemed to be missing. The tabby she-cat wasn't sure what, but she knew that there seemed to be a hole in her heart. Stepping forward to lap gently at the water, she closed her eyes and quickly took a few sips if the icy liquid. Twitching her whiskers, she shook her head and turned, striding slowly back up the shore and into the spacey pine forest.

Rowanstar opened one eye in the ShadowClan leader's den. He didn't feel exhausted as his deputy hadn't set him up for any patrols. He had lead a hunting patrol, though, but it only brought back several mice as leafbare was harsh. The young leader yawned and left for a walk On his little walk, he saw a pretty tabby she-cat staring at the lake's rippling water. "Hello, Leafcloud." he meowed, purring.

Streamfrost wasn't far from there. She spotted a rabbit and figured it wouldn't hurt if she could catch some prey for the clan during a border patrol. She dropped into a hunter's crouch and sprinted after it. I can't let this one go! They're arn't a lot of rabbits... She sprinted faster. The forest blended into one blur and she leaped. The world was suddenly in slow motion as she fastned the rabbit in her teeth. She held the rabbit in pride and realized she banished the patrol. She quickly started to run back when she also realized she was three feet away from her leader. "Hello Rowanstar." She looked at Leafcloud and didn't like the site of her eyes. They looked pained. "Hello Leafcloud. I'm so sorry I bounded randomly in here." The deputy apoligized to both of them. She grabbed the rabbit again and started walking toward the patrol.
