Scarletpaw walked around camp with nothing to do. She sat down grumpily and sweared crossly as she saw her sister coming towards her.
Rainpaw saw Scarletpaw's ears go back and took a step back then continued towards her. "Hi Scarletpaw!" she mewed energetically and happy.
Scarletpaw glared at her then asked," Do you know why Midnightstar, Dandypaw, and..." she scowled," Russetpaw aren't here?"
"Um... no." Rainpaw meowed simply thinking the question over in her mind.

Ivypaw padded up to the she-cats as her ears flicked as she caught bits of their conversation.
"I heard that Dandypaw fell in the lake," she meowed, padding next to them. "Stormflower told me."
Stormflower shook her head as she bounded toward Vixen's den.
Wolfpaw slipped out of the apprentices den, his eyes blinking in astonishment a few moments as he heard yowling down near the lake. His gaze flicked to Stormflower as she slipped into Vixen's den. He padded forward, twitching his whiskers, waiting outside too ask if Vixen needed any help. He was very curious and worried about what was happening, so he knew he would take a chance to get down to the lake. He was also going on the benefit to be with his mate because he hadn't been with her for about a quarter moon now. He sat silently, hearing slight murmurs inside the den.
Stormflower pushed her way into Vixen's den, her voice urgent as she meowed, "Vixen, we need you down at the lake, quickly. Fizzlepaw's at the shore, soaking wet and wailing, and.... Her voice trailed off. We think Dandypaw drown. Russetpaw paddled to the island, and Midnightstar went after her." Stormflower tried to explain as quickly as she could.

Rainpaw's ears shot up with alarm. "Really|?" she asked wondering how he could have been so silly. "Why did he fall in?"
Scarletpaw's muzzle crunched up in a grin. "Good," she muttered."That'll keep Russetpaw off of my heals now that her beloved is drowning."
Spottedheart over heard the last bit of Scarletpaw's sentence before giving her a sharp prod in the side.
