Jade slumped into the clearing, almost having drowned in the river nearby. She suddenly noticed cats. "Oh, shucks! I think I ended up in the Riverclan camp!" She muttered under her breath. She couldn't escape though, because she was way too weak to really do anything.

[Flamefur]

Eaglestripe finished licking herself and spotted Cloudpaw nearby, staring at a grey she-cat. "Who in StarClan's sake are you, kittypet?" the rude apprentice asked.

"My name's Jade." Jade replied to the young cat. She was too tired to care about rudeness. Nearly drowning takes a lot of energy.

OOC: I'm replying from here, since I don't want to switch back and forth between accounts right now.

[Flamefur]

Cloudpaw looked at her strange and shrugged. "Hi! I'm Cloudpaw. What are you doing in RiverClan?"
Eaglestripe sighed and saw her son attempting to talk to the kittypet.
"Hello, I'm Eaglestripe. Clan deputy. What are you doing here?" the dark ginger she-cat meowed firmly.

"Almost drowned." Was all Jade could say. She was about to pass out from sheer exhaustion.

Redstar saw a bit of a commotion in the clearing. She walked over, but stopped before she completely got there. That gray kittypet was her other sister, Jade! She hid her shock.

[Flamefur]

Eaglestripe, not hearing Redstar behind her, nudged Jade towards the warriors den. "Here, you can have my bed tonight." After making sure the she-cat was settled in, Eaglestripe turned to pad away and saw Redstar watching her. Embarrassed and worried that she would get in trouble for helping a kittypet, the she-cat hung her head. "Redstar- I"

"It's alright." Redstar said to her deputy. She walked close to the other she-cat, and whispered in her ear, "Actually, she's my sister that I haven't seen since I was 2 moons."

Jade was just settling in when she saw the Riverclan leader speaking to Eaglestripe. She thought the leader looked familiar... She just didn't remember how. She started to drift to sleep.

[Flamefur]

Eaglestripe stepped back with shock. "Wow!" she meowed quietly. The she-cat nodded a thanks to her leader. "I'll go get her some fresh kill."

"I'll do it. I want to speak to her." Redstar said. She went over to the fresh kill pile and got a fish. She then walked over to where Jade was. "Jade!" She whispered. "Do you remember Ruby?"

Jade woke up with a start. She saw the Riverclan leader by her, with a fish. "Yes, I do-" Then it finally hit her. The leader was Ruby! "You're her, aren't you?" She asked.

Redstar nodded. "I'm known as Redstar now. Would you possibly want to join Riverclan?" Redstar held her breath.

Jade gave her a studying look before replying. She did want to belong to a clan, and be around family. "Yes, I do want to join."

Redstar let out her held-in breath. "You'll need a warrior name then. I'll teach you how to fish and fight."

Jade thought about a name. "I'd like to be Stormtail." She concluded.

Redstar looked at Jade. "Sure. I'll announce it later today. This fish is for you." She said, pushing the fish by the other cat. With that, she walked out, with a smile on her face.

[Flamefur]

Flamefur yawned adn got up. "Fox-dung! It's nearly sunhigh! I hope Eaglestripe found someone else to lead the dawn patrol. I'll make it up to her by leading the evening one." the ginger tom muttered.
Spotting Snowfire getting a water vole from the fresh kill pile, he greeted the younger warrior. "Hello, Snowfire. Have you hunted today?"
The white warrior smiled stiffly as he dipped his head with respect for the elder warrior. "Eaglestripe asked me to lead the dawn patrol since you looked tired." Seeing Flamefur glance nervously away, he added "She's fine with you sleeping in. You hunted with Cloudpaw late last night."
Flamefur, feeling a little better, nodded gratefully. "I'll see if I can lead the evening patrol."
Eaglestripe yawned as she padded away from Redstar after their conversation. "Hello, Flamefur. Hello, Snowfire!" she meowed cheerfully. "Flamefur, you lazy furball! you slept in late!" she teased.
The ginger tom chuckled and licked his daughter in between the ears. "I'll lead the evening patrol if you want."
"Thanks, Flamefur! That'll be a big help!" Eaglestripe replied. "Maybe you could take Snowfire with you. Cloudpaw would be a good choice to come and Stormtail might if she's feeling-"
Flamefur cut her off. "Who's Stormtail?"
The dark brown and white she-cat explained. "We saw a half drowned she-cat named Jade come in to camp and Redstar welcomed her. She's sleeping in my den right now while Redstar talks to her. I caught that she was joining the Clan as Stormtail. If she's feeling-"
"You mean we're taking a kittypet in? I thought Redstar had sense!" Snowfire growled.
Flamefur glared at him. "Redstar must have a special reason for this, doesn't she, Eaglestripe?"
Eaglestripe hesitated before nodding. "A good reason."
The ginger tom looked back towards Snowfire with a hard, firm expression. Eaglestripe half expected the white tom to object but he had the sense to stay quiet.
"Well, back to the point. Flamefur, you will lead the evening patrol around past ThunderClan border. I've scented them at the exact mark and it's not right. All I know about the scent though is that it is similiar to Spottedheart's...." The brown and white she-cat meowed prominently.
Cloudpaw, who was lazily picking at a fish heard. "Dustpaw!" he murmured. "She can't get punished! I'm the one-" the white apprentice bounded for the border to see if she could find him there.
Eaglestripe heard her son dart off and rolled her eyes. "Just an apprentice." she muttered.

Redstar heard parts of the conversation between Eaglestripe, Flamefur, and Snowfire, and sighed. She knew some cats would not like a kittypet in the clan. She walked on, deep in thought.

Sunsetpelt was heading towards the warrior's den when she saw Eaglestripe, Flamefur, and Snowfire talking. Snowfire seemed annoyed. She walked over, sitting by Snowfire. "What's going on?" She asked her mate.

Daykit was just playing when she saw Cloudpaw run towards the entrance of camp. She ran after him, catching up quickly. "What are you running for?" The curious kit asked.

[Flamefur]

Snowfire looked proudly at his mate. "Haven't you heard? Redstar's taking a mouse-brained kittypet in to the Clan." he muttered, nuzzling her and touching her with his tail. "This vole is as big as my legs! Want to help me finish it?" he meowed.

Cloudpaw turned and stared at Daykit, annoyed. "I'm just going to explore the borders. You stay here!" he growled.

"Sure." She told her mate, and took a bite of the vole. She thought about what he had said. She wondered where this kittypet was. "Where is this kittypet anyway?" She asked him.

Daykit laid her ears back in annoyance and defiance at the apprentice. "You can't tell me what to do!" She yowled at him. "You're not that much older than me!"

[Flamefur]

"Be quiet, you stupid furball! You aren't allowed out of camp!" Cloudpaw muttered. The white apprentice snorted and turned, running futher towards the border.

Snowfire looked at Sunsetpelt. "In Eaglestripe's bed in the warrior's den." he meowed, unsure of what Sunsetpelt was doing.

Sunsetpelt thought. Her mother wouldn't accept a kittypet unless... Her ears perked up in understanding. "I'll be right back." She told her mate, and she walked over to Redstar. "So, I'm guessing this Stormtail is someone you know?" Seeing a small nod from her mother, she continued. "Like that one kittypet you always told me about?" She saw the glimpse of shock in Redstar's face. "I'm alright with it, I guess, but she may never be able to fit in." Sunsetpelt continued again. "Make sure to remember that."

Daykit sighed. She liked Cloudpaw, but he could be so annoying! She wondered where he was actually going.
