Dandypaw blushed even harder then before so he turned around, and looked for Mapleclaw. He looked sideways at Fizzlepaw and caught her looking at him. His eyes darted away from her's and he felt a sharp prod in his side. "What?" he hissed to Russetpaw.

"Wanna do some training?" He asked, tilting his head down at the apprentice.

"Would I ever," Dandypaw meowed. His eyes followed Fizzlepaw as she went to the fresh-kill pile. "Um Mapleclaw, maybe we could do a two on two battle training with Fizzlepaw?" He said that because Russetpaw had walked away.

Mapleclaw nodded. "Your both at the same training level, that'd be fine." Turning his head he called, "Fizzlepaw!"
Lifting her head Fizzlepaw padded up to her uncle. "Yes?" She asked, gazing up at him.
"Would you like to do some training with us?" He asked.
"Sure!" Her eyes brightened. "I'll go get Mossheart." Turning and bounding away, she turned toward Mossheart to ask her.
Mapleclaw turned back to his apprentice. "We could work on the partner fighting."
Fizzlepaw raced back. "Mossheart said it was okay, and she said she'd meet us there in a few minutes."
Mapleclaw nodded. "Okay, we'll start off then." With that he turned and padded into the forest with the two apprentices following.

"Thanks Mapleclaw," Dandypaw meowed to his mentor. " I'm glad that you could train with us Fizzlepaw," Dandypaw mewed when they were a few fox-lengh from the camp. He blushed, as she looked at him in the eye.

Dandypaw felt an odd feeling and he looked away from her.
When they arrived at the training hollow Dandypaw looked expectantly at Mapleclaw then blushed. He could feel Fizzlepaw's blue eyes looking at him. Dandypaw sighed. He now knew what that strange feeling was.

Mapleclaw turned and gazed at the two apprentices.
"We'll practice the partner battle move. I want you two to try battling me together, in which you stand next to each other and try not to let me pass through." Turning to crouch at them he began to snake forward.

Russetpaw stood and looked at them. Her eyes suddenly flew open with shock and she felt tears well up in one of them. "I hate you! Both of you!" she yowled. Dandypaw's such an idiot, she thought. Looking at Fizzlepaw like that. The ginger apprentice ran from her hiding spot. She turned and ran. After a few minutes, she skidded to a stop. I can't keep running, she thought. I need to tell him. Scenting Dandypaw behind her, she turned around. "Dandypaw! I can't believe it! How could you not notice? I love you!" she yowled, tasting salt on her cheek. Russetpaw flattened her ears against her head.

Fizzlepaw turned and her stomach somersaulted. Oh no. She shook her head, her eyes saddened. She had to let Dandypaw choose on his own, but no matter what she thought, her eyes blurred, no matter how hard she tried to blink them away. She did love Dandypaw, but if he loves Russetpaw, then she had no idea what she could do.

Dandypaw's eyes widened. He never thought that she loved him. "I didn't notice," he meowed his ears flat against his head. "I thought we were just friends," he muttered. Backing away from the crying Russetpaw, he meowed," You better get back to camp. and..." he sighed turning," sorry." Then he ran back to the training hollow, guilty of hurting her but with Fizzlepaw on mind.

Russetpaw felt vulnerable for once in her life. She didn't think she'd ever not handle a situation by clawing somebody's fur off, but she loved Dandypaw, and didn't want to kill him. The ginger apprentice stepped back and sheathed her black claws.
