She was a warrior now. Russetwhisker could hardly believe it. She was filled with excitement at the thought, even after she had held vigil and moved to the warrior's den. Her mind still puzzled her about Dandyheart, though. He had to pick, didn't he? Her or Fizzle-what's-her-face. The ginger she cat sighed sadly. Would he pick? Would he pick her? Somehow, Russetwhisker felt the answer wouldn't be in her favor.

Dandyheart was sitting by the warriors den when he saw Russetwhisker emerge. He paused, unsure of himself. He couldn't decide. He looked away. His heart was torn in two. Russetwhisker or... her? He didn't know.
OMG YOUR BACK!!!! haha please reply soon!

Sorry, late reply D:
Russetwhisker caught his scent before she could see him. Dandyheart. Almost immediately, she felt like an idiot for being so concerned about her love life. I'm such a foolish kit! she scolded herself silently. Just try to be friendly. Just do it. She padded up to Dandyheart, her green eyes bright. "Hey, Dandyheart."

Dandyheart looked up as Russetwhisker approached. She looked so nervous by the slight twitch of her tail and the uneasiness that lingered in her gaze. He smiled, hiding his own uncertainess and mewed,"Hi Russetwhisker. how are you enjoying being a warrior so far?" He shifted his paws uncomfertably from the pain in his shoulders where the ghostly Tigerstar had fought him last night in the Dark Forest. Dandyheart's eyes flashed as he remembered the smug grin of the evil cat as Dandyheart had lain bleading on the ground. He shook his pelt, making his bristled fur lay smoothly down again and looked at Russetwhisker expectantly. Mwahahahaha Rollplaying oh how i missed you hahaha

*laughing out loud!* xD I missed it, too.
Russetwhisker noticed that Dandyheart seemed slightly hesitant, as if something was bothering him, but she brushed it off and listened intently as he spoke. "It's... hard to describe. Pretty fun, I guess." She meowed, chuckling. No longer was she the nervous, schoolgirl-ish kitten that obsessed over her older friend. Now, she was a warrior, and she had to play it cool. "How have you been?"

Dandyheart shrugged. "I've been better," he mewed, glancing around the clearing. Seeing no-one around except for Spottedheart and Flamefur sitting near the fresh-kill pile which was nearly empty, Dandyheart asked," Want to go hunting?"

"What's wrong?" She asked, curious as to what could be troubling him. Dandyheart had always seemed to be quite the optimist, and when an optimist is upset, you know something must be pretty serious. After he proposed a hunting trip, though, Russetwhisker's heart jumped at the offer. She wanted to squeal, YES! OF COURSE! DOES THIS MEAN WE'RE MATES NOWWW? but assumed that would be kit-like and more than a bit creepy. Instead, the dark ginger she-cat flicked her tail playfully. "I'd love to."

Dandyheart shook his head. He sensed the excitement radiating off of Russetfur and smiled absently. "Well, where would you like to hunt? I was thinking maybe near the abandoned two-leg nest."

The abandoned Twoleg nest was well known for its large supply of overindulgent, unintelligent mice. "Sure," Russetwhisker dipped her head calmly. "Lead the way, Dandyheart."

Dandyheart headed towards the thorn-barrier his tail twitching from side to side. Absently he chuckled to himself. A thought then popped into his mind. Is Russetwhisker the one? He glanced back at the russet colored she-cat. She seemed different now that she was a warrior. But was that a good thing?

Russetwhisker padded after her old friend, her bright green eyes dancing with excitement. Something felt so right about this- but then she remembered, moons ago, as an apprentice. The choosing of Fizzletail, the nightshade patch... how foolish she had been to force herself on Dandyheart like that! Her ginger pelt went a few shades redder with embarrassment, and she mumbled, hoping he could hear her. "I'm sorry, you know." After she spoke, she turned to take a glance at the camp. Fizzletail was nearby, grooming her pelt. She and Dandyheart weren't officially mates- they were still apprentices when he 'picked' her over Russetwhisker- but it wouldn't surprise the russet colored she-cat if the other cat bore his kits soon. Not that she would be happy about it. Turning back to Dandyheart, she bounded ahead to catch up.

Dandyheart saw Russetwhicker glance over at Fizzeltail and stiffened. For some reason it seemed that Fizzeltail didn't... 'want' him anymore. They'd had a fight and now she never talked to him. It seemed that almost every cat in ThunderClan was having mate problems. Spottedheart and Lunafre, Flamefur and Midnightstar.... He hadn't realized it but his fur had fluffed up along his shoulder. He forced his fur to lie flat and lifted his muzzle to the air. A strong scent of squirrel caught his attention right away. Quickly he dropped into a hunters crouch and started to move silently in the direction of the creature. Checking that he was down-wind from the prey he slowly made his way through the undergrowth towards it. Finally he leapt and bit down on the squirrel killing it instintly.

Russetwhisker had just caught up with her friend, unaware of his noticing her looking back, and smelled the blood of the fresh kill. "Great catch!" She meowed. It was a plump, young squirrel, probably around its prime. The Clan could definitely use such great prey. The russet colored cat lifted her nose to the wind and checked for the scent of prey she could go after. The squirrel-smell was fresh and largely filled the air, but she could still pick up a hint of mouse nearby. Russetwhisker dropped into a hunter's crouch in the same was as Dandyheart had, and began to stalk through the undergrowth on light paws. There it was- the small gray field mouse was sitting by a clump of ferns, nibbling at a blade of grass. Before it could notice her, Russetwhisker leaped through the air and trapped the unsuspecting animal between her paws, killing it with a swift blow to its neck. That was her favored method of killing- almost bloodless, and without much suffering. It wasn't that she felt bad for the prey, it was just the way she preferred to hunt. She kicked dirt over her prey to hide it for later and glanced towards Dandyheart. "Let's go towards the Twoleg nest," she suggested, remembering his idea earlier.

"Nice catch!" Dandyheart purred as Russetwhisker caught her mouse. He quickly scraped dirt over his squirrel and started padding towards the Twoleg nest, his senses alert for any signs of prey. As he neared the nest he paused. Taking a deep breath he could smell some of the herbs that the medicine cat had planted but underneath that he could smell shrew. On feather-light paws Dandyheart padded towards it. Suddenly a sharp pain erupted in his left paw. "Ow!"he exclaimed, more from shock than pain. He looked at his paw and saw that he had trodden on a thorn. Quickly he pulled it out with his teeth and looked at his pad. It was bleeding slightly and after a quick wash he tested his weight with it. It stung a bit but nowhere near as bad as the injuries he had gotten from Tigerstar in his nightly visits.
*Hey Flamey do you think since morgan isnt on to play as Fizzletail do you think that maybe Dandyheart and Russetwhisker should become mates after all? But maybe have her not know anything about Dandy's true feelings yet?

"Thanks!" She meowed at his praise, nodding her head respectfully. She matched his pace paw by paw as they trod towards the Twoleg nest so famous for its prey supply. At Dandyheart's sudden exclamation of pain, Russetwhisker jumped to her senses. She watched as he pulled a thorn from his pad and a slow trickle of blood followed it. "Are you okay?" She flicked her tail with concern. Thorns were not a very serious concern, but he didn't want to get that infected. "You should wash it out. Vixen wouldn't be pleased if you pranced around the whole territory with a hole in your pad, and then got it infected." Russetwhisker purred, chuckling, though she couldn't help but mentally hate herself for sounding so nerdy.
* Sure, if you don't mind them being mates :3 And as for her not knowing, that'll make it all the more interesting.
